US blames Russia for attack on aid convoy in Syria

The US says Russia is ultimately to blame for an airstrike on an aid convoy in Syria.

"All of our information indicates clearly that this was an airstrike that means that there only could have been two entities responsible -the Syrian regime or the Russian government," Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes says.

"In any event we hold the Russian government responsible for airstrikes in this space," he says, pointing to Russia's pledge under a ceasefire agreement.    (dpa)
